Bulgari Octo Finissimo 100M

I’ve already written extensively about this timepiece: here, here, and here, so I don’t want to repeat myself too much. This is the thinnest mechanical watch that’s water-resistant to 100 meters (i.e., you have the peace of mind to swim with). This fact is important to me, for reasons I’ve already detailed, and incidentally, have never claimed are entirely rational.
I lusted after this watch since it launched in early 2020, and it took me almost three years to acquire it, during which time I spent 20 months in a therapeutic community. At the time, I perceived it as a symbol, a milestone in my sobriety. Today, I’m content with having this timepiece for that purpose, and letting the Octo just be itself.
It’s under international warranty until October 28, 2027. And yes, I invested in no fewer than eight custom, handmade-to-order straps for this watch.
